The KPL Food Cooperative (KPL Food Coop) is a business that brings together Smallholder Organic Food Producers and Consumers connected together by exchange of food and services produced organically to attain food sovereignty, climate justice, tackle malnutrition and general human suffering through transformation of the local food systems using peasant agroecology to deliver nutritious food for the community at a modest fee. The KPL Food Coop business model is different from other food distribution models that are only motivated by making profits.
The KPL Food Coop aims at transforming the local food systems to make them respond to nutritional demands of the community apart from making modest profits to keep the system responsive to the local needs.
